Manage Your SMS on Computer Now

You all will be aware of WhatsApp for Web or Desktop, You can manage your whatsapp from Desktop by installing whatsapp application for desktop or through the  whatsapp web.

Now in similar way, google also started managing your SMS through web on your computer. SO you can connect your phone to messages for web by accessing url "https://messages.android.com/" .

With this you can do following operations on the SMS
1. Reply to SMS
2. Delete SMS
3. Compose new SMS
4. Archive SMS

So fully functional SMS application is now available on your Desktop or Laptop.

In order to achieve this follow the below steps

1. Open SMS App (Messages) in your Android Phone. (see figure 1)
2. Click on the more options (three vertical dots on the top right) and choose Messages for web.  (see figure 2)
3. After clicking on the Messages for web , it will open the camera to scan the QR code to connect messages for web.  (see figure 3)
4. Now Navigate to https://messages.android.com/ which generate a QR code. (see figure 4)
5. Now scan that QR code from your mobile and your are done.  (see figure 5)

If you are not getting "Messages for web" option in your phone, then you might need to upgrade your Android to newer version.

So you need not to connect it though mobile internet,If both Laptop/Desktop and Mobile are in the same network through Wi-Fi then also it will work. But the laptop or desktop should be connected to the internet.
