Installing Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client in windows 8

While installing Cisco AnyConnect Client on Windows 7 or Windows 8 you might face some issues because Cisco doesn't provide support for windows 8 check Cisco AnyConnect Specification for more details.

While installing the Cisco AnyConnect on windows 8 you might receive below error message :

The VPN client agent was unable to create the interprocess communication depot

So in order to avoid above problem simply follow below steps.

1. Open control panel (not pc settings) in windows 8
2. Go to Network and Sharing Center and click on Change Adapter Setting
3. Or you can directly follow Control Panel->Network and Internet->Network Connections 
4. Right click on your LAN and select properties as shown below :
   
   After clicking on Properties , you will get below screen, select sharing tab from that window as shown below :
   
   
   
5. Now clear(uncheck) the first check box as shown in the below figure :
   
6. Now try to install Cisco AnyConnect client again. You will be able to install it successfully.
